Sr Manufacturing Engineer

Our client is in search of a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in implementing continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing setting. In this role you will participate in various manufacturing engineering endeavors.

Key skills you should have:

• Lead the design for manufacturability process including FMEAs root cause analyses
• Lead design for manufacturability efforts and implement new equipment and processes.
• Design and execute manufacturing processes ensuring ontime and onbudget completion of projects.
• Identify tools materials and equipment to enhance manufacturing efficiency and reduce waste.
• Analyze and optimize winding grinding cutting and machining processes.
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams and mentor junior engineers.
• Supervise and enhance plant production resolving process issues through testing and analysis.
• Drive corrective actions for safety quality and technical issues.
• Planning facility equipment and resource changes to ensure timely completion of manufacturing deliverables.
• Plan specify select validate and implement new equipment processes and facilities in manufacturing.

Requirements for this position:

• Bachelor of Science in engineering in manufacturing industrial mechanical or electrical.
• 5 years experience in manufacturing ideally in material conversion processes.
• Project management and Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office SolidWorks and Minitab preferred.
• Strong analytical problemsolving and leadership skills.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and CAD drawings with GD&T knowledge.
• Flexible and strategic thinking abilities.

Location: South Bend IN area

Salary: $80$100k commensurate based on experience. Bonus potential and comprehensive benefits.
