SITE MANAGER
JOB DESCRIPTION
Location: Tamale Wa & Bolgatanga
Industry: Construction & Engineering
Reports to: Project Manager
Scope
The Site Manager will primarily be responsible for ensuring the required standards of health and safety are adhered to protection of works presentation and quality of the work produced and work to the agreed project schedule and quality parameters as set out for the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning monitoring and documenting tasks throughout a project
- Ensuring all tasks deliverables and project materials are delivered promptly.
- Study and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures at all times
- Managing onsite allocated resources necessary for project execution
- Ensure that company health & safety policies and procedures are strictly adhered to and work closely with relevant Health & Safety Managers and Advisors.
- Ensure all environmental and waste management policies are adhered to
- Ensure that all staff subcontractors and visitors to the site are appropriately inducted.
- Ensure all directly employed personnel work within the required specification and adhere to general company policies.
- Ensure all subcontractors work within the required specifications and adhere to general company policies
Requirements
Requirements
- A Bachelors degree in Construction Engineering Civil Engineering or any related field of study.
- Proven experience in producing deliverables on software platforms
- Minimum 7 years of experience in the construction industry or similar with at least 3 years as a site manager.
- Previous experience on government related projects is desirable.
- Strong health and safety education.
- Knowledge about project management processes and software especially in areas of budgeting teambuilding and time management
- Knowledge of spreadsheet software and Using Word PowerPoint and Outlook for communication and presentation purposes
- Ability to deliver projects on time.
- Ability to communicate in French is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Strong planning analytical and organisational skills
- Ability to influence and lead teams.
- Strong problemsolving skills.
