About the position:The Area Manager will beaccountable for the operation of Salon shop(s) and achieving theoperational performance targets within the approved budget while atall-times ensuring the integrity of the brand. He/she shall managethe shop employees' performance, in the Company valuesamong them and promote teamwork to ensure the delivery of excellentcustomer services.Essential Duties &Responsibilities:Ensures that day to day operations of salon(s) isadhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Maximizesoperational efficiency and ensures compliance with qualityassurance policies and proceduresProvides personalized approach toclients and staff, identifying and resolving urgent issuesProposesto Managing Partners initiatives and changes that will improve thebusiness such as operating hours, services, products,merchandising, expansion opportunitiesProposes to Managing Partnersnew best practices and trends to enhance existing ones and createnew standards policies and proceduresAnalyzes and approves thestaffing rosterEnsures that staff adheres to the company prescribedgrooming and presentation standardsEnsures high standard ofcleanliness and proper maintenance of shop facilities.Drives theachievement of excellent customer services through continuousimprovement initiativesEnsures that the salon(s) create a customerservice culture by guiding employees to become problem solvers,cooperative and accommodatingProvides input on developing relevantservices and treatments, including setting treatment protocols andselecting products for use in the treatments and for retailsaleEnsures that all staff follows the standards and procedures foreach service they provideExercises promptness in resolving customercomplaints and comments/feedback.Monitors customer satisfaction byconducting surveys which includes focus groups and commentcardsAnticipates, identifies and ensures that customer needs andexpectations are met in the best possible wayControls theoperational expenses and facilitates product margin analysis toensure profitabilityMaximizes sales by introducing revenuegenerating strategies and communicating to the team the projectedrevenue targets for treatments and retailUses informationtechnology to record sales for data analysis andplanningAdministers staff and client scheduling for maximum revenuegeneration and profitabilityInterprets Financial Reports andprovides expertise on the analysis of (projected) Revenue vs.Expenses.Ensures that all employees are well trained for theirrespective positions by coordinating relevant training anddevelopment with the HR DepartmentCoaches and develops staff tomaximize their potentialProposes new rules and procedures foremployees to follow which includes policies in the workplace andensures effective implementationEnsures that staff issues aretimely communicated to HR Department for appropriate actionConductsemployee performance appraisalsMaintains the optimum products stocklevel at all times to ensure a smooth and financially effectiveoperationSuggests improvements to visual merchandisingMaintainsawareness of market trends and techniques in the grooming industry,understanding forthcoming customer needs, and monitoring localcompetitors marketing activitiesCoordinates with Managing Partnersand Shop(s) Supervisors regarding promotional programs andmarketing initiatives;Suggests ideas that will improve customerloyaltyProvides input to Marketing Department on organising publicrelations, promotional and marketing events to drive customervisits and sales.Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor s degree inmanagement or equivalentCertification in Beauty Therapy or relatedcoursesMinimum 5 years of relevant work experience in manageriallevel3 years experience in any related industry e.g. spa, retail,hospitality is a mustTechnical Skills i.e. knowledge in nail, faceand body services;Highly proficient in Planning andOrganizingExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAcutefinancial skills, experience with budget and business plandevelopmentAnalytical skills to evaluate data and make bothoperational and strategic decisionsStrong leadership, motivationaland people skills, team-player demonstrating collaborativeapproach
