RAKHERE is hiring a Cooling System Design Engineer - ICE to join our growing team in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Job Description
The Cooling System Design engineer will utilize standard engineering methods and procedures when performing engineering tasks on a basic complexity level and according to given conditions such as function, geometry, cost, quality, regulations, etc. Candidate is expected to follow established activity plans and processes when supporting a project or engineering process. Although CAD documentation makes out a part of the ordinary work, the designer is expected to be able to develop technical solutions and add an engineering perspective to the documentation.
Job Responsibilities
- Create or update CAD Models, Part Drawings, and Installation Drawings using CREO Parametric.
- Perform CAD documentation within a technical area, including packaging verification and creating and documenting
- product structure.
- Designing cooling systems components and sub-components for PWTI -ICE (powertrain installation - internal
- combustion engines)
- Help to engineer responsible for developing modular systems and components to optimize part diversity
- Utilize existing engineering tools, methods, and processes, and to follow general OEM Design & Validation processes.
- Learn internal tools and processes focusing on the assigned area.
- Front-loading work to ensure robust early-stage releases and stable late stage releases
- Follow up quality status, participate in Design Reviews, perform risk analysis, root cause analysis, and FMEAs.
- Participate in strategic sourcing and systematic ratio work for cost improvement.
- Release components as applicable to resolve maintenance issues or secure project deliveries.
- Communicate active project deliveries during daily team leadership meetings.
- Apply Quality Tools during the design phase and release process.
- Operational responsibility for a component or sub-module delivery.
- Integrate deliveries from others and secure quality and readiness before release.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent technical field.
- MUST have working knowledge of Pro-E / CREO Parametric.
- MUST have knowledge of GD&T and the ability to apply GD&T to designs.
- MUST have 4+ years of relevant experience in the Automotive or Heavy Truck industry.
- Proficient working knowledge in Product Data Management systems such as Windchill, PDMLink, Teamcenter is preferred.
