Prevention Specialist

One of our esteemed clients in the ship building industry is currently seeking a Prevention Specialist to be based in Dammam Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Job Overview:

As a Prevention Specialist you will play a crucial role in promoting a culture of safety and preventing incidents and accidents within our shipbuilding and maritime operations. Your experience in safety management and your deep understanding of the maritime industry will be instrumental in creating and implementing effective prevention programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop implement and manage comprehensive safety programs and policies for shipbuilding and maritime operations.
• Ensure compliance with local and international safety standards and regulations.
• Identify potential safety hazards and assess risks in shipbuilding processes equipment and infrastructure.
• Implement measures to prevent accidents incidents and near misses.
• Provide safety training to employees contractors and other stakeholders.
• Conduct safety awareness programs and promote a safetyconscious culture.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify safety deficiencies and ensure corrective actions are taken.
• Investigate and report on incidents and accidents.
• Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures for shipbuilding facilities.
• Ensure readiness to respond to emergencies and provide training on emergency procedures.
• Evaluate and improve safety processes and procedures to enhance safety performance.
• Implement best practices and innovative safety technologies.
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including engineering planning and project management to ensure safety measures are integrated into all aspects of shipbuilding.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Safety Management Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Prevention Specialist or in safety management within the shipbuilding or maritime industry.
• Certification in safety management or a related field is a plus.
• Indepth knowledge of safety regulations standards and best practices in the maritime sector.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Saudi Nationals are given first preference.
