Customs Compliance Specialist

The Intrastat team focuses Intrastat reporting within EU countries improving SAP system within the organization solving escalations and streamline communication and comparison of data with financial reporting.

An Intrastat Specialists is the primary interface to customs authorities VAT team customs brokers order management and IT.

Office Location: Bucharest; 2 days / week at the office

Collaboration Type: Individual Labor Contract

Duration: 6 months 6 months unlimited contract

Tasks

• Timely provision of Intrastat reporting within EU countries;
• Communications with authorities and support them during the escalations;
• Cooperation with customs brokers in selected countries.
• Proactive monitoring of SAP systems (Intrastat module) processes;
• Improving the data process within the organization;
• Analyze all issues which are connected to missing or incorrect data in the system;
• Escalate unresolved issues to IT or TAX team;
• Keep track of reported issues;
• Comparison of data with financial reporting.

Requirements

• Fluent English communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Ability to work flexibly and on own initiative
• PC and Microsoft Office tools knowledge
• Knowledge of SAP is an advantage
• Ability to recognize problems and direct them to the appropriate person
• Ability to work under time pressure and stressful conditions
• Ability to effectively interact with people at all levels and across a worldwide geography
