Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance Manager

Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all mechanical and electrical maintenance operations within Hodson Bay Hotel.
- Ensure the continuous operation and maintenance of all electrical systems HVAC equipment plumbing systems and other mechanical equipment.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to ensure the longevity and efficiency of all mechanical and electrical systems.
- Lead a team of maintenance technicians and contractors providing guidance training and support as needed.
- Determine the root cause of equipment malfunctions and implement effective solutions to resolve issues promptly and efficiently.
- Regularly inspect the hotel's mechanical and electrical equipment to identify potential problems and areas for improvement.
- Coordinate with other departments and external contractors to plan and execute maintenance projects and repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities including work orders equipment inspections and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards promoting a culture of safety among the maintenance team.
- Stay uptodate with advancements in mechanical and electrical systems and technologies making recommendations for upgrades or improvements as necessary.
Essential Qualifications:
- Relevant technical qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- Proven experience in a similar maintenance management role preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems and equipment.
- Excellent leadership and managerial skills.
- Effective problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Desired Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance.
- Experience in managing a team of maintenance technicians.
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and standards.
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs and practices.
- Familiarity with hospitality industry standards and practices.
