Technical Architect:
-Position Overview- hands on technical and strategic mindset of working w the business. most ea's were highlevel on strategic side but not technical enough. Ex engineers, 15-20% of time hands on coding, proof of concepts (aspirational), work on new techs, look in industry latest and greatest before handing to engineering team, tech diagrams, brain storm w engineers, present to leadership, think strategic- current and future state. Trying to move away from specializations, jack of all trades. Go deep in certain areas. Engineer who wants to be a solution architect
-cloud experience must have, azure preferred
-recent developer 5-10 years experience will give the person good chops
-java, node, networking, foundational infra and design concepts
-cloud integration patterns, frameworks, design patterns, system designs, architect for large scale solutions, integration with external platforms and vendors
-doesnt want to pigeon hole based on tech
-front end frameworks: native, javascript, react, ios/android
-back end: node, java, azure services
-Challenge: seasoned person who can come in and execute

-Upcoming projects:
*Customer 360- data everywhere, (pharmacy in one db, retail somewhere else, digital somewhere else, photo). They want to consolidate for single view of the customer. Can this person understand the diff tech stacks and present the single view of the customer with a hybrid on prem/cloud experience.
*road map for data platform- there are several competing platforms, work to consolidate, document current and future state
*mobile strategy- all apps enterprise mobility
*api strategy/open source strategy
