Job Responsibilities:
- Handle all travel administration tasks for the company's safari travel operations
- Create and manage safari itineraries, ensuring accurate and detailed information
- Coordinate with clients and suppliers to arrange leisure travel bookings and reservations
- Utilize tour planning systems (e.g. Tourplan, Resrequest) to manage bookings and itineraries
- Design and modify itineraries based on client preferences and requirements
- Ensure efficient management of travel resources and inventory
- Provide administrative support to the travel team and senior management
- Maintain and update travel documentation, including contracts, permits, and visas
- Stay updated on latest industry trends and destination knowledge for East African safaris
- Handle office administration tasks using Office365 tools
- Collaborate with regional suppliers and partners to ensure smooth travel operations
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in travel administration
- Strong knowledge of East African safari destinations
- Proficiency in using tour planning systems such as Tourplan and Resrequest
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency in using Office365 tools for administrative tasks
Desired Experience:
- 4 years of experience in travel administration
- Previous experience in leisure sales and inbound travel
- Familiarity with WETU system
- Experience in itinerary design for safari travel
