Job Description:
- A Senior Design Engineer I provides technical subject matter expertise (Electrical, Mechanical or Civil/Structural) on a multitude of the ongoing projects by attending all project meetings, preparing design and specification, and reviewing all submittals, and supporting NYPA s site teams during outages.
- Support operations, maintenance, and capital improvements at the generation and transmission facilities.
- Review and/or develop the design drawings, details, calculations, specifications, and technical reports adhering to applicable codes and standards.
- Perform field inspections and assess conditions of facilities.
- Experience required in substations, power plants in the Utility Industry
- Professional Engineer License is required
- Review work produced by other engineers
- New York State Professional Engineer License is required
