Position Summary
Our client, a multibillion-dollar food manufacturer with well-known, iconic brands seeks a passionate Quality Assurance Manager for a key facility.
- As a critical member of the Plant Leadership Team, you will be responsible for the food safety and quality. This is a fantastic opportunity to utilize state-of-the-art methods, tools, and procedures to deliver zero defects from incoming raw materials to outgoing finished goods in a food-safe environment.

- Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will have significant managerial responsibilities including leading, mentoring and managing 20 reports (Quality and Sanitation).

Responsibilities:
- Implement and assure compliance with all Food Safety, Regulatory, and Quality policies.
- Ensure USDA and FDA regulations and respective plant programs are in compliance.
- Maintain a robust food safety program (e.g. QRMP, HACCP, sanitation, pest control, GMP, traceability).
- Ensure implementation of and compliance with Sanitation policies, programs, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance /audit readiness - review all quality systems and policies annually.
- Act as primary interface with regulatory agency representatives at the facility.
- Develop plant Quality KPIs and scorecard.
- Review quality management system metrics with the plant leadership.
- Ensure appropriate documentation is in place to support compliance to policies and procedures.
- Manage plant quality labs to ensure all methods, equipment, and measurements meet gauge reliability and repeatability (R&R) standards in both the laboratory and all plant processes.
- Ensure standard work through the development of work documentation and training to standards.
- Own customer/consumer complaint investigation and resolution.
- Develop, implement and communicate an effective product containment program to ensure appropriate control of quality/food safety defects.
- Coach/develop all plant leaders in regard to quality and statistical tools.
- Manage core training and certification processes at the local site.
- USDA manufacturing compliance.
- Use continuous improvement tools (UPS, quality index, etc.) to identify opportunities and development improvement plans.
- Oversee product quality with regards to new product implementation and introduction into the market.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s Degree.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance in Food/Beverage/Pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- 1+ years Leadership experience.
- Lean manufacturing, a plus.
