- Manage all technology and engineering related workstreams and functionally supervise the subject area leads: Engineering, HSSE, Site Development, Permitting during the project lifecycle.
- Manage large cross-functional project team in engineering from all disciplines as process-, electrical-, civil-engineering and C&I, exchange with workstream leaders and functional experts.
- Steer engineering studies and closely monitor performance of time and budget allocated to the engineering and technology development area.
- Manage technological aspects of key technology partnership(s) as well as engineering service providers, licensors and other involved parties in engineering design. Manage includes coordinating the work and tasks of the team, elaborating on concepts and alternatives, steering the works.
- Contribute to the preparation of the supplier-contracts from the technical point of view advice on technical specifications
- Manage the technical implementation of the project, while steering the project team to deliver the project on time and budget. Manage includes coordinating the work and tasks of the team, elaborating on concepts and alternatives, steering the works.
- Provide professional consultancy on all aspects of the technical design as well as changes to the specification within the scope of all contractually agreed parameters. This includes choosing (based on own experience and knowledge) the best or most feasible solution, presenting it to client and client gives a sign off.
- Set up an experienced technical team, estimate budget and resource requirements.
- Holistically optimize these workstreams regarding the overall business model and the budget.
- Verify and approve engineering documents, negotiate and provide technical advice on the setting up of formal agreements and on the set up the Procurement and Legal teams formal agreements with suppliers and/or engineering partners
- Provide status report of engineering works to the General Project Manager and technically advise the Commercial Project Manager.

- Masters or PhD degree in Engineering, if possible with focus on process engineering
- 10+ years relevant working experience with proven track record as a Technical Project Manager of Major Asset Project for construction of industrial scale plants in Chemical, Energy, Mining, Oil & Gas or similar industries
- Sound knowledge of business and finance
- Leadership experience and ability to work in interdisciplinary environment and complex structures
- Experience in plant design, construction and commissioning and leading engineering teams
- Experience in FEL process and EPC management
- Independent way of working and ability to organize work in functional teams across all hierarchy levels
- Ability to perform under high time pressure
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in German and English
