Managing Director Singapore (m/f/x)

YOUR IMPACT - YOUR ROLE

We are currently looking for an ambitious and entrepreneurial Managing Director to drive our Singapore business forward. This is a highly strategic role that will give top candidates the chance to directly impact the success of the company and to cement our leadership position in Singapore.

As our Managing Director, you tackle the challenges of scaling up our Singapore business and strategically planning its expansion. You will be placed in a team of motivated and talented A-players who are currently driving our business forward. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of a lean and ambitious team.

Specifically the tasks include:

Leadership

• Set the vision and mission for Helpling Singapore Be the face of Helpling in Singapore, actively represent the brand in events, media and conferences.
• Lead strategic partnerships and business opportunities that can help to accelerate growth
• Ensure that the country strategy and action plans are communicated clearly to all stakeholders in the company
• Work with HR to build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for key leadership positions (Head of Operations, Head of Marketing, Head of Business Development)
• Engage with local regulatory and political stakeholders within the home services ecosystem

Strategy and Planning

• Manage the entire P&L of over 30 mil SGD and be ultimately responsible for the financial performance of all vertical categories, e.g. Home Hygiene, Home Maintenance, Home Care
• Develop and drive the local growth strategy to double revenue and local EBITDA

Execution

• Align on the mission and strategy with your team and oversee execution in your market
• Define the team structure needed to achieve the growth target
• Build, lead and coach a team of high-performing individuals for key leadership roles in the team, e.g. Head of Operations, Head of Marketing, Head of Business Development
• Develop targets, processes and operating cadences to drive improvements in customer happiness, partner success and brand
• Work cross-functionally with the Berlin HQ - collaborate with the B2C team, Product team, and Marketing team to manage product and internal workflow needs

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

• You are based in Singapore
• You have an entrepreneurial mindset, with the ambition to build a category-leading brand while driving social impact at scale
• You have a minimum of 8 years of business development, service management, and/or marketing experience in a category-leading B2C tech/service business, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role
• You are keen on working in a high-performance, international environment
• You have a solutions-oriented mindset, always looking for more efficient ways of doing things
• You have a proven track record of getting things done
• You have a hands-on mentality and can prioritize your tasks effectively and efficiently
• You are comfortable with Excel and data analysis
• You are a highly energetic, self-motivated and results-driven person who takes full ownership of your responsibilities
• You want to go on regular Business trips to our HQ in Berlin, Germany
