This company is seeking a Senior Buyer who will be responsible for managing the preparation & process of purchase orders for supplies, equipment, and raw materials. We are looking for a person who high energy is flexible with a fast-changing environment and a demonstrated ability to excel and has experience in Strategic Procurement and Sourcing.

Your main focus will be to develop and execute effective strategic sourcing plans, purchase specific items in the category you will be managing. Interacting with vendors for pricing negotiations, vendor agreements, promotional programs, vendor funds and product. This could also include developing new sources where suppliers are inadequate. Youll collaborate with other departments to create effective business plans and ensure proper supply selection. Youll formulate policies & procedures for the bidding proposals and procurement processes. Responsible for financial results by using provided KPI analyses to better understand the category and improve sales and margin.

As the Senior Buyer, youll be responsible for your department performing:

• Competitive bidding and negotiating for goods


• Preparation of purchase orders, solicit bid proposals, negotiations, administration of contracts with suppliers & vendors


• Analyzing price proposals, financial reports and other data


• Research and evaluation suppliers based on price, quality, selection and service


• Monitoring of shipments, ensuring receipts of materials are recorded correctly and on time.

Minimum requirements for this Senior Buyer role:

• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or similar discipline


• At least 5 years Strategic Procurement and Sourcing


• Experience with SAP.
