Database Administrator 3

Job Description:

Participates in designing, developing, and refining State of Michigan educational database systems to ensure that they are secure, reliable, and robust. Implements changes to increase performance and efficiencies.

Evaluates and tests security systems performance, maintain reliable, optimized, high performance databases.

SQL Scripting will be a large part of this position. ETL work using SQL.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Lead database system optimization effort

Work on agency high priority work items for SSIS, ETL, and SQL job changes

Manage data replication options such as SQL Server Availability Group configurations

Key Programming Languages:

TSQL

PowerShell

Other Technologies, Concepts and Frameworks:

Azure DevOps, Scrum, Kanban, SQL VM server configuration

GIT experience a plus, but not mandatory
