Accounting Specialist

As an Accounting Specialist, you will assist and support Apiax Finance team across different regions with accounting and controlling tasks. An outstanding Accounting Specialist should be detailed-oriented and able to demonstrate excellent analytical skills.

Tasks

What you will be tasked to do:

• Manage the monthly accounting records in accordance with the accounting principles;
• Assist with the preparation of annual audits;
• Ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures;
• Maintain accurate records, including ledgers, journals receipts, and invoices;
• Ensure that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner;
• Maintain the chart of accounts;
• Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions;
• Comply with local government reporting requirements and tax filings;
• Collaboration with third-party service providers.

Requirements

What is required from you:

• Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Business Management, or related field;
• 2-3 years of proven accounting experience;
• Good understanding of international finance;
• Experience with Xero Accounting Software is a plus;
• Very good time and self-management;
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in entering financial data;
• A responsible and structured way of working as well as assertiveness, reliability, and discretion;
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a good command of written and spoken English;
• Portuguese/EU Passport
