Physician Assistant - Orthopedics

Fellowship trained Orthopedic Surgeon seeks a full-time Physician Assistant. This physician has a very busy practice which consists of total joints, shoulder, elbow and general orthopedic cases. He utilizes the most advanced minimally invasive surgical techniques. The position is clinic focused but also includes OR (first assist).

This position will be located in Manhattan and requires travel to the clinic locations within Queens and the Bronx. The Physician Assistant will run their own clinic and see new and follow-up patients. Specific responsibilities include: running an orthopedic clinic, surgical first assist, consultation and patient follow-up and education, sin-visc and cortisone injections, pre and post H&Ps, write scripts and review and order lab tests.

Preference is for direct orthopedic experience, but the doctor will train a new graduate with strong interest in orthopedics. The Physician Assistant must be NCCPA-Certified, highly motivated, have excellent people skills, be hard working and able to work well with others in a team-oriented environment.

This position does NOT have any weekends, evenings or call! The opportunity is Monday through Friday with regular work hours.
