Project management
Manage overall project delivery from demand initiation in planned time, scope and budget. This includes requirements analysis, scoping, design, implementation, testing and deployment.
Manage stakeholder expectations, business case
Manage risk and issue processes, report to agreed project governance (example: steering committee)
Setup the project team with the right resources and skills from technical and business perspective
Coordinate internal and third parties resources
Ensure the production of the relevant functional and technical requirements by the business and technology contributors
Own the day-to-day interaction, communication and management of any vendor supplying services to the project
Manage quality of deliverables throughout the project lifecycle
Work with the release manager to manage any technology changes into production.
Work with the business coordinator to plan communication and necessary training for the change delivered by the project.
Manage user acceptance testing for changes implemented by project
Manage handover to service operations team and other teams
Manage supplier and contract for third parties involved in projects
Program management
On interdependent projects, the technology project manager will ensure
Program lead, oversight, governance: scope, budget, status of various projects components, resources, make sure we are making progress.
Program communication & stakeholder engagement
Support for projects initiation, staffing, monitoring, closing
Benefit realization tracking
Strategic alignment of technology and business stakeholders
Mentoring of project managers, ensuring basic project management methodology is applied on the program
Continuous improvement
Develops and improves standard methodology
Amends ways of maximizing project and product management value
Mentors product managers to deliver multi-products initiatives and/or other technology members in charge of projects in the area of their expertise.
