Vanilla Steel is a digital B2B platform serving the European metal industry with data and innovation and the mission of simplifying how steel and other metals are traded today. We believe sourcing or selling materials online should be simple.

Vanilla Steel is headquartered in Berlin and has 30 employees. The founding team consists of 4 tech entrepreneurs that combine 50 years of digital experience and that are passionate about solving existing challenges through digitization.

It is an exciting time to join Vanilla Steel as we recently raised our Seed financing from some of the best European VCs to grow our team and expand our business.

We are looking for an outstanding individual who wants to join an exciting early-stage start-up in its growth phase as a Sales & Account Manager to support the Sales team.

The role is based in Berlin.

Tasks

As Sales & Account Manager, your responsibilities will be to support the Vanilla Steel sales teams in their objectives of growing the business as well as building sustainable and profitable operations. You will be exposed to a broad range of areas of the company that will evolve in parallel with the needs of Vanilla Steel. Your first tasks will be to:

  • Perform outbound prospecting to companies via email, social selling tools (LinkedIn) and cold calls etc.
  • Prospect leads across the full B2B-sales cycle (qualification of leads, product demo, onboarding, commercial signature etc.) across your allocated regions
  • Structure sales processes (Customer research, CRM reporting)
  • Perform operational activities on the trading platform (prepare transactional data and order confirmations)

Requirements

  • Bachelor's/Master s Degree plus 1-2 years of relevant professional experience
  • You feel comfortable acquiring new customers by phone and have excellent communication skills
  • You like to take responsibility, are proactive and solution-orientated
  • Proficiency in G-Suite and/or Microsoft Office
  • High proficiency in English; Polish or Hungarian mother tongue is a requirement
