ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Role Purpose

The SAP Project Manager will manage one or more projects within the ERP Programme. The role will work collaboratively with colleagues across the programme, delivery partners, and the business to deliver agreed programme targets. The PM will ensure that projects are delivered to scope, time, cost, and quality measures, and that project risks are managed in line with business targets.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for day-to-day delivery, management, coordination, and control of assigned projects within the ERP Programme
• Responsible for the development of Project Definition Documents (PDD), including scope, goals, and deliverables, with support of business owners
• Responsible for scoping and creating Project Management Plans (PMP)
• Responsible for leading all resources assigned to the project, setting clear objectives and managing performance on a project basis
• Accountable for accurate forecasting and reporting of key project information, updating any agreed project management reports and documentation
• Ensuring that robust financial management and commercial awareness form the foundation of all business decisions
• Coordination of project activity and inputs being done by multiple people across assigned projects, including internal and external delivery partners
• Engagement with colleagues across the dynamic asset maintenance and integrated planning and scheduling business transformation programmes to
• ensure alignment of programme objectives and outcomes
• Support for business owners and business change managers in ensuring clear BAU activities (including embedding the resultant outputs, deliverables, benefits) are
• identified successfully at project definition.
• Own the identification, quantifying, tracking and reporting on the latest benefits forecast and realisation against the plan up to the point of handover to BAU
• Responsible for providing feedback on project performance to programme boards as appropriate
• Work with the programme manager to ensure the operation of effective governance

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential:

• Project management experience on at least two complex SAP S/4HANA
• implementations (greenfield S/4HANA or migration from SAP ECC to S/4HANA,
• integration to multiple best of breed enterprise systems)
• Excellent working knowledge of S/4HANA and SAP implementation methodologies
• (Activate) and best practices
• Experience and knowledge of project implementation and cultural change
• Experience of delivering projects to time, scope, cost, and quality measures
• Experience of managing resources in a project environment, across a variety of
• delivery partners
• Ability to build quality business cases and project plans
• Ability to negotiate and influence at higher, strategic levels

Desirable:

• Good understanding of SAP plant maintenance, customer service, logistics, and finance modules
• Experience within the utilities industry
• APM, Prince 2, or equivalent project management qualification
