Job Title: Tutor for Functional Skills
Location: Remote preferbly based in West Midlands England requiring occasional travel to Coventry
Salary Range: £27000 £32000 annually
Employment Type: Fulltime
Schedule: Monday to Friday with flexible working hours
About the Role:
An esteemed training provider with many different seeks a passionate and knowledgeable Functional Skills Tutor to support on a wide range of contracts including; apprenticeships adult skills and others. This demonstrates that this provider is one with many contracts meaning job security for its staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver Level 1 and Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English ensuring apprentices meet their learning objectives within the first six months of their programme.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive timetable for Functional Skills delivery aligned with our curriculum framework.
Offer additional learning support and reasonable adjustments for apprentices with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Conduct online workshops and facetoface sessions (as required) to improve learners maths and English abilities.
Create personalised learning plans ensuring timely commencement and completion of Functional Skills learning.
Collaborate with the delivery team and Learning Consultants to integrate maths and English into sectorspecific training and assist learners who require additional support or are returning to learning.
Design and source educational materials for common topics and themes enhancing the learning experience.
Record workshop attendance and learner progress promptly maintaining accurate records.
Requirements:
Essential: Minimum Level 2 qualification in English and Maths (GCSE grades AC equivalent or Functional Skills Level 2).
Demonstrated passion for teaching maths and English.
Experience or familiarity with Functional Skills delivery within the Hospitality sector.
Proven ability to meet strict deadlines and targets with excellent planning and organisational skills.
Experience in training coaching or mentoring both remotely and inperson.
