Job Description

Overview

This position will lead technical efforts in Nitinol shapeset tool design and component heat treatment driving innovation in microfabrication and manufacturing technologies. This role combines handson expertise with mentorship supporting rapid prototyping and production transition. The ideal candidate brings expert SolidWorks skills Nitinol experience and a strong background in tool design and advanced manufacturing.

Must have nitinol experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop innovative tools and fixtures for micromanufacturing.
  • Serve as a technology leader training teams and sharing best practices across sites.
  • Collaborate on Lightspeed rapid prototyping and seamless production transitions.
  • Mentor peers in setup troubleshooting and process development.
  • Ensure compliance with ISOcertified systems quality documentation and best measurement practices.
  • Own and monitor data accuracy ensuring metrics align with site goals and maintaining data integrity.
  • Lead crossfunctional teams in R&D Advanced Technology Group (ATG) initiatives and production readiness projects.
  • Evaluate system designs perform testing/validation and document process parameters.
  • Identify unmet customer needs and recommend new technologies to improve system performance.
  • Proactively communicate with customers providing solutions and recovery plans for issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across departments advancing Resonetics technologies and processes.

Required Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in engineering/science or equivalent with 8 years of experience 6 years with a Masters).
  • Expertise in SolidWorks tool design and fabrication.
  • Proficiency in materials science especially Nitinol and medical device materials.
  • Familiarity with ISOcertified quality systems and GD&T standards.
  • Experience in validations (e.g. TMV GRR OQ/PQ).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ownership of data metrics and monitoring for accuracy.
  • Strong communication leadership and project management abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to present complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree or PhD in an engineering or science discipline
  • Experience in a medical device manufacturing environment
  • Finite Element Analysis (FEA) experience preferably Abaqus

Physical Demands

  • Able to work in an office environment and travel independently.

Compensation

The compensation for this role is competitive and will be based on experience and qualifications. The anticipated range is $120000.00 $160000.00.
