Job Description
Experian North America is looking for a senior finance leader for the Financial Services & Data (FSD) business.
Our FSD business creates financial opportunities for clients and consumers through datapowered platforms and advanced analytics. Delivering innovative scalable solutions for the financial services industry including banks credit unions fintech and beyond. These solutions successfully enable financial services clients to manage their customer acquisitions credit underwriting and risk management practices.
The VP of Finance will be a critical member of the leadership team act as a thought partner with the BU President & Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and be responsible for delivering results across the full P&L. You will promote high performance drive accountability enhance quality and design processes and metrics that create visibility and enable the organization to meet its objectives.
This role provides an excellent opportunity for someone to lead FP&A and Technology finance for one of Experians largest business units (BUs) while driving progress across all aspects of the P&L. The VP provides decision support to executive management leads the financials for the BU budget strategic plan forecast reporting processes in concert with Group/regional requirements and provides sophisticated financial analysis/modelling capability for both defined and unstructured scenarios. You will also expand team capacity through partnership with Experians offshore finance hub and through digital innovations. You will report to the CFO of FSD and have considerable exposure to Executives within the business NA Finance the NA Region and the global Group team in Europe. The business has significant market opportunity and is positioned well with investments in new strategic initiatives and a significant technology transformation.
What Youll be Doing:
- Key advisor to the EVP of the NA Data Office Ops & Governance the EVP of FSD Product Marketing the EVP/CTO of FSD and SVP of Business Ventures & Partnerships accountable for delivering financial performance against annual targets and collaborating across business units to optimize performance
- Guide and facilitate our corporate Strategic Planning Process and be a critical voice in charting strategic focus
- Oversee the development preparation and presentation of both short and longrange financial budgets and forecasts
- Drive the financial analysis process with full comprehension of key performance indicators (KPIs) operating trends and performance assessment
- Support executives in analyzing and diagnosing KPIs and productivity metrics to improve their operational results over time
- Build and develop a high functioning finance organization establish and constantly improve business processes to support the strategic direction for a multiproduct organization
- Establish effective relationships across BU in NA and with global finance
- Support and facilitate M&A activities as an important component of growth ensuring financial models reflect appropriate risk and return
- Help lead incentive system design and management partnering with HR Sales and BU leadership.
- Manage the FSD capital planning and investment process
- Ensure that appropriate systems policies budgets and control procedures are in place to support sound legal practices and the independent fiduciary responsibility that Finance represents
- Develop an understanding of our business including its risks opportunities and competitive environment
Qualifications :
- 10 years of progressive management and leadership experience in finance with proven ability to develop talent
- Proficient knowledge of accounting and finance with the ability to perform complex financial analysis. This includes general knowledge of GAAP and IFRS and the ability to practically apply these principles when formulating sound judgment in both accounting and financial reporting
- Experience providing insights to a business operating on the Cloud
- Demonstrated performance in partnering finance with operations in driving gains in business performance revenues market share and profitability
- Comfortable working within a functional and global business matrixed organization
- Proven success in developing and executing business strategies resulting in measurable business results
- Experience analyzing market opportunities behaviors and the competitive landscape to identify the levers to address opportunities and product risks
- Progressive experience in financial analysis management reporting accounting budgeting forecasting and project management
- Demonstrated ability to build teams lead people and get results through others
- Prior experience participating as a member of leadership during M&A activities including contributing to identification due diligence and integration workflows
- Experience automating processes and applying advanced technology applications within finance such as RPA and Tableau preferred
- Bachelors degree. MBA CPA or relevant Masters Degree preferred
