The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an experienced Structural Analysis Engineer located in Berkeley MO.
Position Responsibilities:
- Develops integrates and documents structural requirements to establish the system design.
- Coordinates with other engineering groups to establish the products environment.
- Guides product design and verifies structural integrity by using analytical methods finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment characteristics and performance.
- Develops test plans and configurations supports test and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
- Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied.
- Supports inservice products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements.
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science.
- 5 years of workrelated experience with a Bachelors degree OR 3 years of workrelated experience with a Masters degree OR PhD
- Experience with conventional metal structure stress analysis AND/OR composite structure stress analysis
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Prior experience with aircraft control surface structures
- Demonstrate engineering knowledge as a midlevel or experienced stress analyst engineer ideally working in a Structural and/or Aerospace industry
- Prior technical lead experience where they had to review stress analysis of peer
- Ability to build and run Finite Element Models (FEMs)
Typical Education/Experience:
Level 3: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD Master3 years related work experience). In the USA ABET accreditation is the preferred although not required accreditation standard.
