Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a fulltime student to join our team of skilled professionals based at our Calgary Plant. This candidate will need to provide realtime quality control monitoring on the production line. This stateoftheart manufacturing plant produces premium roofing shingles in a highspeed continuous asphalt shingle manufacturing process environment.

Reporting to the Quality Control Supervisor the successful candidate will be responsible for helping QA technicians and QC testers with testing on the production line and in the lab and assuring that the finished product complies with company industry and government standards.

Responsibilities:

• Performs tests in the laboratory and on the production floor on key parameters associated with the quality assurance of finished products.
• Entering data in plant computer system/excel for daily quality testing results.
• Escalates production quality assurance issues to the quality team and plant management on a timely basis.
• Monitors the quality of finished products in real time on the production floor.
• Identifies quality issues in real time on the production floor and reporting.
• Monitors quality impact of new production processes methods or equipment.
• Helping QA technician with any duties assigned.

Education:

• Diploma/degree in a Sciencerelated field.

Qualifications:

• Past experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Experience working in a laboratory environment equipment and tools will be an asset.
• Proficient in Microsoft word and MS Excel.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be able to lift 25lbs.
