Key job responsibilities
The requirement is for someone who can rigorously use stateoftheart methods and technologies in their area of specialization. The successful candidate will 1 contribute to existing development efforts already underway by infusing their deep knowledge of their field and technical prowess 2 identify new and promising uses of technologies that address novel problems in Promotions and 3 connect with other teams throughout Amazon to ensure that we benefit from innovations and progress across the company. About the team
Our team is dedicated to supporting new members. We have a broad mix of experience levels and skills including Software Engineering Big Data Engineering and Applied Science. 3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Bachelors degree or equivalent

Masters degree in computer science or equivalent
3 years of building largescale machinelearning infrastructure for online recommendation ads ranking personalization or search experience
3 years of big data technologies such as AWS Hadoop Spark Pig Hive Lucene/SOLR or Storm/Samza experience
Experience with full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations

The base salary for this position ranges from $114800/year up to $191800/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
