Position Overview
A Technical Curriculum Developer at Cycle Labs wields the entirety of our user baseâs learning experience, from developing the curriculum, lessons, lesson plans, certification program, and written and video content.
This role sits within the Cycle Labsâ customer success team and will be crucial in ensuring our growing user-base canbe successful with Cycle.
The TCD will work closely with the Customer Success team, Product team, and end users to understand the requirements and user stories that will fuel continuous improvement in our learning program.
The ideal candidate will have excellent technical writing skills,the ability to translate technical content into easy-to-understand learning, and above all, a passion for learning.
This role will be eligible for bonuses based on organizational revenue growth and learning program releases.
Some travel (up to 20%) is required, primarily for on-site training.
What Youâll Do (Job Responsibilities)
Design, develop, and maintain a scalable curriculum and certification program in collaboration with Subject-Matter Experts and stakeholders across the organization
Design, develop, and maintain instructionally sound instructor-led, eLearning, documentation, and video content across multiple products and concepts at a variety of skill levels and personas in accordance with the curriculum
Develop subject-matter expertise in the Cycle Labs product portfolio and associated concepts:
Cycle - a proprietary on-premise test execution engine
Cycle Appliance - Azure test infrastructure and Jenkins test orchestration
Cycle Cloud - proprietary cloud test execution engine
Cycle Test Automation Framework - a system-agnostic test framework
BY WMS Test Library - a system-specific test library for enterprise supply chain software
Test Automation Strategy
Quality Assurance
Identify, implement, and maintain a scalable Learning Management System
Maintain curriculum consistency with the latest product releases by completing detailed analysis of required content changes through collaboration with product development
Continuously improve learning content based on industry design standards and processes and by incorporating user and stakeholder feedback
Incorporate measurements and assessments into all learning content
Use effective project management techniques to organize and deliver quality training projects, including instructional delivery and content generation
Collaborate with the Product Manager to develop roadmaps and plan for training offerings and new content
Produce artifacts throughout the content creation process such as graphics, icons, exercises, templates, scope documentation, storyboards, graphics, diagrams, project plans, scripts, course outlines, data sheets, and marketing copy
Use Google Workspace and Slack to plan, collaborate, and communicate
Requirements
What Youâll Bring (Job Requirements)
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelorâs degree in technical writing or a closely related field of study or equivalent relevant experience
2-5 years proven experience designing and developing instructional content and courses for technical concepts
2-5 years proven experience writing software and help documentation, using formatting languages such as HTML and Markdown, and publishing on the Web using tools such as Gitbook
Technical and troubleshooting skills necessary to use and implement the Cycle Labs product portfolio, through experience with any programming/scripting language
Experience with video editing software
Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), eLearning authoring tools, and web conferencing applications
Demonstrated ability to follow technical writing standards such as those in the Microsoft Manual of Style
Excellent written and spoken communication skills, including documentation, active listening, comprehension, and charismatic presentations with a proven ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and dynamically adjust learning content on the fly
Ability to take initiative and work both independently and collaboratively, think creatively to solve challenging problems, act with integrity and confidence, and a continuous improvement mindset
Ability to shift between big picture and detail-oriented thinking
Experience working with multidisciplinary and international teams and stakeholders
