• Purpose of the Consultancy

The purpose of this consultancy is to provide technical support to the to the implementation of the Regional GLAAS 2021/2022 project and the monitoring of SDG 6.a and6.b indicators towards improving Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) services in the Eastern Mediterranean Region (EMR).

• Background

WHO/EMRO/CHE has been facilitating and providing technical guidance to the Member States for improved WASH services and monitoring of SDG6. WHO/EMRO/CHE launched the GLAAS 2021/2022 cycle in the region and received confirmation of participation by 17 countries. One of the countries completed the GLAAS process. WHO/EMRO/CHE will continue to support 16 countries in the EMR to complete the GLAAS 2021/2022 survey, which reports on SDG 6.a and 6.b indicators.
