Job Description
- Teaching several chemistry laboratory courses per term, in areas of general chemistry for engineering and introductory chemistry for non-engineering students.
- Creating syllabi following current trends, in coordination with the theory class instructor.
- Keeping syllabi up to date, in coordination with the theory class instructor.
- Running of hands-on experiments, computer-assisted experiments, and computer-based experiments.
- Preparing and up keeping of the laboratory inventories, including keeping stock of all the chemicals needed for the laboratory and ordering the materials, chemicals and instruments needed to carry out the experiments in advance.
- Preparing laboratory budgets as required and submitting budgets requests, in coordination with the theory class instructor.
- Developing course material and manuals according to the syllabi and inventories.
