Job Description

Translation Executive supports the Assistant Manager, Translation in the execution of all Translation related activities and administrative support to the Translation Section.The responsibilities includes:

1. Translate general/business documents from English to Arabic and vice versa.

2. Type all Arabic/English documents including Assistant Manager, TranslationServices voice recorded translation cutting down by 50% regular time needed to deliver final translation to users.

3. Convert written material from one or more 'source languages' into the 'target language', ensuring that the translated version conveys the meaning of the original as clearly as possible.

4. Research legal, technical and scientific phraseology to find the correct translation.

5. Liase with clients to discuss any unclear points.

6. Proofread and edit final translated versions.

7. Provide clients with a grammatically correct, well-expressed final version of the translated text, usually as a word-processed document.

8. Use the internet and e-mail as research tools throughout the translation process.

9. Prioritize work to meet deadlines.

10.Type and check all Arabic/English documents including Arabic/English dictation typing for the final document.

11. Schedule the meetings with Clients for the Assistant Manager, Translation Services and set reminders on tasks.

12. Receive and filter all incoming calls and dial outgoing calls related to Department.

13. Check, stamp and register incoming mail addressed to the Assistant Manager, Translation Services, collect and send outgoing mail.

14. Prepareand Maintain Translation Department Monthly Report, Minutes of the Meeting, letters, faxes and memos.

15. Liaison with Assistant Manager, ISO Quality Control, Certification Body and other parties related to the Quality Management Systems for Translation Department procedures.

Skills

Minimum Requirements:

Educational Qualification and experience: Degree / Diploma in Administration (12th Standard + 2 or 3 years Diploma) or equivalent with 4 years of experience.

Linguistic Abilities: English and Arabic is a must.
