As a Bakery Chef you are responsible to take care of the bakery section and duties assigned to meet the set standard and qualities whereby your role will include key responsibilities such as:
- Developing and planning recipes and overseeing the daily production of bread and other baked goods at the facility
- Understanding what types of baked goods your clientele enjoys and developing or improving upon successful recipes. You will test different ingredients for recipes and scale them for large-scale production
- Managing a team of Bakers for production to the various food and beverage venues in the property
- Come up with new recipes, be creative and create trendy bakery products such as breads and patisseries
- Willingness to learn, develop and progress as the business grows
- To teach and train new and junior members of staff
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of work experience in the same role or similar capacity with an international hotel/resort brand
- Prior work experience in an All-Inclusive holiday destination will be an advantage
- Associateâs degree in hotel or institutional food preparation preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in ability to safely and effectively operate standard foodservice equipment
- Passionate about prepare great fresh food, loving hospitality and the industry
- Have a great team work ethic
- Have a good understanding of kitchen basics, With the freedom to create and innovate.
- Self-motivated
- High level of energy
- Prior work experience in an All-Inclusive holiday destination will be an advantage.
