Job Description
- Reporting to the Electrical Engineer, ensure all tasks allocated are carried out safely and efficiently
- Ensure all HVAC equipment that are within the contractual scope of the project are maintained to a high standard
- Ensure weekly HVAC maintenance allocated, is executed to plan
- HVAC Systems and Individual Units maintenance to include the following – note this is not an exhaustive list but not for assessment only:
- Ensure the system works to design
- Air flows are balanced throughout the system
- Individual units are performing to design
- Air temperature at all ranges are tested and system re-calibrated as necessary
- Compressors and electric motors are tested and serviced
- Filters are changed
- Rotating parts lubricated to manufactures specification
- Ensure load and energy consumption is to manufactures specification
- Competent in carrying out Ex Maintenance
- Competent in carrying out HVAC equipment isolations
- Inspection of earthing points, impedance, resistance and associated cables and fittings
- Inspection of insulation on all electrical cables and appliances
- Daily visual & periodic formal testing and inspection of temporary site based equipment
- Install/maintain junction boxes, switches thermostats etc. as appropriate
- Assist in the review of the holdings of materials, spares and special tools and recommend stock levels and purchases where deficiencies/shortages are found
- Experienced in the review of Single Line Diagrams and P & ID’s
- Be familiar with the CMMS (Marsoft)
- Assist in the review of maintenance routines and make recommendations on improving the system as it applies to your discipline
- Produce reports as required on discipline issues
- Be familiar with all major vendors and liaise on technical matters and queries
- Provide discipline input to the project weekly and monthly reports
- Be conversant with the technical documentation available from E & C contractor
- Ensure that all technical documentation required for maintenance is available or is resourced through OEM’s or vendors
- Answer technical queries and guide team on matters related to your discipline
- Monitor equipment performance within your discipline and advise on improvement
- Be conversant with project delivery imperatives and support attainment
- Ensure a good knowledge of the project contract
- Commence and design a checklist system for routine maintenance tasks
- Partake in, or cooperate with; internal or external audits as directed
- Carry out HSE and technical audits and inspections as directed by Electrical Engineer
- Compile or receive detailed written Handover prior to; and completion of leave and/or field breaks
- Report HSE incidents and all near misses, assist on incident investigation as directed
- Have an awareness of the Company Code of Conduct, disciplinary procedures and Business Ethics
- Complete an offshore survival course
- Support local national training as directed.
