Senior Buyer

• Responsible for assigned supplier relationships and/or Raw Material categories.
• Manage Limited/General Tender Committee (GTC/LTC) tenders in line with Procurement policies and procedures
• Conduct procurements and negotiations
• Perform assessment of suppliers.
• Manage assigned supplier contracts and manage material & transportation contracts for both dry bulk & tankers
• Manage and take action on any procurement related issues that may arise within area of responsibility
• Support the development and training of National employees.
• Initiate and develop medium and long term category strategy programs to ensure competitive and uninterrupted supply of Raw Materials to meet Management and end user department requirements
• Comply with all agreed occupational health, safety and environmental regulations in order to protect personnel and physical assets. Ensure that the work areas are kept in a clean and tidy state in order that work can be carried out safely and effectively.
