Review contractor design drawings and specifications (including RFPs) for constructability and conformance to project requirements.
Review and approve contractor's submittals for conformance with the requirements of the contract drawings and specifications. Review and approve shop drawings, samples of materials and components, catalog information, certificates of compliance, and provide technical responses to Requests for Information (RFIs). Ensure requests for deviations or changes to any terms and conditions of the contract are coordinated and approved, as appropriate with Customer.
Participate in pre-award meetings, as appropriate.
Attend post-award contract meetings, such as post-award kickoff meetings, pre-construction conferences, informal or formal partnering meetings, schedule acceptance meeting, design review meetings, weekly progress meetings, and Facility Turnover Planning Meetings.
Visit construction sites to monitor progress and resolve construction issues in a timely manner.
Provide technical solutions to unforeseen problems that arise during the contract duration in coordination with the construction contractor. Notify the Customer immediately if an associated cost increase arises.
Assist in identifying the need for a modification to scope, cost and/or schedule based on collaboration with the construction contractor and/or other entities.
