TheHead Credit Risk Evaluationwill direct timely credit review and analysis for all proposed facilities of Corporate/institutional clients within Qatar and Overseas branches. The incumbent will direct and monitor comprehensive credit review/analysis process and regular monitoring of client performance, in line with all approved policies and procedures of Doha Bank and relevant regulatory framework. The incumbent will monitor to ensure that the processes, procedures and systems are relevant, considering market environment, Basel and regulatory guidelines and are methodically followed by all section employees to deliver efficient service to internal and external customers.
Detailed Roles and Responsibilities
STRATEGIC
- Formulate and implement strategy, annual business plans, policies and procedures of the Credit Risk Evaluation Section, to support divisional and organizational business strategy.
- Ensure through robust Corporate, Retail & SME credit evaluations that Doha Bank disburse facilities to ‘quality’ customers and thereby minimize the possibility of credit losses.
- Ensure that the Credit Evaluation business plans are within agreed budgets and timescales. Provide timely, accurate and complete progress reports to the Head of Credit Risk and Chief Risk Officer as and when required.
- Update self on the regulatory requirements/changes set by QCB and other relevant government bodies, and, implement adequate changes in the section, including but not limited to staffing of employees, department deliverables etc.
- Develop and maintain robust working relationships with internal/external stakeholders of Doha Bank to facilitate functional / operational/ strategic needs.
- Maintain highest standards of professional conduct, ethics and integrity in the provision of services in the Credit Risk Evaluation Section.
