Job Description

  • Expectations of future budget needs.
  • Make a proposal for spending improvements that increase profits.
  • Ensure that department managers meet the deadlines for submitting the budget for their departments.
  • Design and implement effective budget policies and procedures.
  • Help departments anticipate and review their future budget.
  • Review budget requests for approval.
  • Provide financial forecasts, report and follow operational metrics.
  • Analyze financial statements and create financial models to support decision-making.
  • Annual Financial Performance Report.
  • Analyze previous results, conduct contrast analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Work closely with colleagues in the accounts department to ensure the accuracy of financial reports.
  • Assess financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and expectations.
  • Provide an analysis of the recommended trends, expectations and procedures for improvement.
  • Increase productivity by developing automated forecasting tools.

Job Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Budget Manager .
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software and statistical packages .
  • Knowledge of MS Excel (specifically, advanced formulas, pivot tables and charts) .
  • Familiarity with forecasting methods and data analysis .
  • Excellent numeracy skills with an attention to detail .
  • Strong analytical skills .
  • Knowledge of accounting best practices and regulations .
  • Ability to explain budgeting and financial information in plain terms .
  • BSc/MSc degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field .
