Your Impact
The Food Service Supervisor oversees daily operations and ensures the highest standards of food quality safety and customer service within our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills a passion for food service and the ability to effectively manage a team in a fastpaced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of food service staff including scheduling training and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards including proper food handling storage and cleanliness of equipment and facilities.
- Monitor inventory levels and ordering of food and supplies to maintain adequate stock levels while minimizing waste and controlling costs.
- Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure consistency quality and adherence to recipes and portion control standards.
- Provide guidance and support to staff in executing efficient and timely service resolving customer complaints and addressing any issues that arise during service.
- Conduct regular inspections of dining areas kitchen and storage areas to maintain cleanliness organization and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Train and enforce proper food handling procedures and safety protocols among food service staff including handwashing glove usage and temperature control.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement policies procedures and initiatives to improve operational efficiency customer satisfaction and employee morale.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to inventory staffing and other operational activities.
- Serve as a role model for professionalism teamwork and customer service excellence leading by example and fostering a positive work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in food service management preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in food service or hospitality industry with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices with certification in food safety (e.g. ServSafe) preferred.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team of employees.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to interact professionally with customers staff and management.
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced highpressure environment with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
- Demonstrated problemsolving abilities and attention to detail with a proactive approach to resolving issues and improving processes.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts including evenings weekends and holidays as needed.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills including familiarity with pointofsale systems and inventory management software.
- ServSafe or State Food Handlers card required.
