Systems Administrators Were building a dynamic engineering team with a realworld cyber mission focus. Seeking a Systems Administrator who is highly motivated to put their knowledge into play developing deploying and maintaining advanced complex operational networks. This is a full time position in Ft. Meade MD. Clearance Requirement: Top Secret/SCI with CI Poly is required.
Duties involved:
- Perform duties as the onsite Tier 2 Field Service Rep (FSR).
- Conduct 24/7/365 event management; receive and review escalated problem reports/issues/service health questions via Jira ITSM; process calls emails and inperson reports of problems issues and incidents from lower tiers.
- Confirm details collect missing information create/revise/update service request in Jira ITSM.
- Assess categorize prioritize service incidents/issues; assigned by Tier 0I analysts for resolution.
- Provide resolution updates End User Account Reports System Usage Reports.
- Create/Update/track tickets and apply rulebased automation for escalation from received information from alerts tools Service Desk End Users CFTs etc. Jira ITSM to track metrics or during the process of deploying releases from CFTs if encountering any issue not resolved by reverting a release and returning system to normal operating conditions
- Update maintenance calendar in Jira; update/revise schedules based on ticket priority/status (Scheduled or Emergency) or PDM IWCI or FSR Release Manager direction; communicate changes through daily standups.
- Collect and maintain system/server logs from devices; review logs ensure log data is ingested into appropriate SIEM tools (e.g. Splunk) for aggregation evaluation and trend analysis between major releases and system version updates
- Record reported issues category type of incident and associated resolution accurately within Jira to provide reliable trend analysis (e.g. of issues resolved at Tier 2.
- Maintain awareness and prompt action to meet QASP performance requirements (e.g. Tier 1 response/realignment within 15 minutes; Tier 2 immediately assigns resources to critical incidents).
- Conduct incident management; coordinate with/escalate to Tier 3 application/infrastructure teams (e.g. CFTs) or applicable vendors with issues or major incidents not resolvable by Tier 2. Engage Operational Deployment Lead and/or Engineering management team to communicate critical information relevant to the ART/stakeholders.
- Engage stakeholders to understand opportunities for improvement; create new and provide SOP Updates (flow charts contact lists FSR Handbook and scripts for responses etc..
Qualifications :
Clearance Requirement:
- Active TS/SCI with CI Poly process.
Education:
- Four 4 year college degree in Information Systems Technology Computer Science Engineering or related field with six 6 years of work experience building managing and maintaining IT systems in a production environment or in lieu of education ten 10 years of experience.
Experience Required
- Experience with systems/equipment installation configuration implementation and validation of installation of components. Components include but are not limited to: Microsoft (current Version) HyperV Manager Microsofts System Center monitoring components/methods Mass storage arrays and servers Dell Open Manage essentials
- Experience authoring and utilizing scripting languages mainly but not limited to PowerShell to automate tedious repetitive and/or error prone tasks related to installation configuration and management of IT systems and services
- Experience with the installation and management of systems via hypervisors and virtualization subsystems
- Experience supporting a variety of networking storage virtualization and other components that may span across multigenerational deployments
- Experience evaluating effectiveness of existing technologies on site and considering emerging technologies
- Experience maintaining on premise cloud (examples: Azure AWS OpenStack) infrastructure systems
- Experience adding configuring and managing Roles and Features on Microsoft Server (current Version) including but not limited to:
- DHCP Server

- File and Storage Services
- Print and Document Services
- Remote Desktop Services
- Windows Server Update Services
- .NET Framework Failover Clustering Remote Server Administration Tools
- Windows PowerShell
