Job Summary The Demolition Site Manager supervises demolition projects from start to finish ensuring safe costeffective and timely . The role includes managing a team of demolition workers complying with legal requirements and maintaining a safe working environment. They also monitor the removal and disposal of hazardous materials in accordance with environmental regulations.
The duties and responsibilities of a Demolition Site Manager include:
Planning and coordinating demolition operations
Managing the demolition crew and ensuring they operate safely and efficiently
Ensuring compliance with local state and federal regulations including environmental guidelines
Inspecting the site before during and after the demolition process
Assessing risks and implementing safety measures
Organizing and conducting safety briefings and training for staff
Communicating with clients contractors and public officials
Overseeing equipment maintenance and operation
Resolving any issues or delays in the demolition process
Qualifications
Proven work experience as a Demolition Site Manager or similar role
Knowledge of construction and demolition procedures tools and safety practices
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
Ability to read and understand blueprints and site plans
Proficiency in project management software
Understanding of safety regulations and procedures
High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in construction management or a related field is a plus
OSHA 30 certification required
HAZWOPER 40 certification required
