Job Summary
The Demolition Site Manager supervises demolition projects from start to finish ensuring safe costeffective and timely . The role includes managing a team of demolition workers complying with legal requirements and maintaining a safe working environment. They also monitor the removal and disposal of hazardous materials in accordance with environmental regulations.
The duties and responsibilities of a Demolition Site Manager include:
- Planning and coordinating demolition operations
- Managing the demolition crew and ensuring they operate safely and efficiently
- Ensuring compliance with local state and federal regulations including environmental guidelines
- Inspecting the site before during and after the demolition process
- Assessing risks and implementing safety measures
- Organizing and conducting safety briefings and training for staff
- Communicating with clients contractors and public officials
- Overseeing equipment maintenance and operation
- Resolving any issues or delays in the demolition process
- Proven work experience as a Demolition Site Manager or similar role
- Knowledge of construction and demolition procedures tools and safety practices
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and site plans
- Proficiency in project management software
- Understanding of safety regulations and procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in construction management or a related field is a plus
- OSHA 30 certification required
- HAZWOPER 40 certification required
