Job Description
Location: Urbana OH

Job Summary:
The EHS Engineer assists in developing implementing and maintaining programs policies and procedures to ensure compliance with environmental health and safety regulations. They identify risks recommend improvements and provide training to promote a safe and sustainable work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with local state and federal environmental health and safety regulations (e.g. OSHA EPA).
- Maintain permits reports and records related to safety and environmental compliance.
- Conduct workplace safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Identify hazards and implement corrective actions to reduce risks.
- Investigate accidents near misses and environmental incidents to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
- Develop and enforce EHS policies procedures and programs tailored to the organizations needs.
- Monitor workplace practices to ensure compliance with EHS policies.
- Provide EHS training for employees and management on safety protocols emergency response and regulatory requirements as needed.
- Foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
- Manage waste disposal pollution control and environmental impact reduction initiatives.
- Assist in conducting environmental risk assessments and audits.
- Collect and analyze EHS performance data.
- Prepare and present reports on safety metrics environmental compliance and risk mitigation efforts.
- Bachelors degree in occupational health and safety or related discipline or a
- 5 years in a lead EHS position in a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of 29 CFR 1910 and 40 CFR and ISO procedures
- Excellent communications skills
- Experience in training and making presentations
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
