Job Description
Job Title: Solution Architect Mining Applications
Primary Skill: Solution Architecture Technical Advisory

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to provide architectural guidance in the selection and design of technology solutions to meet business requirements. In this role you will perform design reviews and quality assurance tasks to ensure compliance with existing standards technology strategy and roadmaps. You will interact with thirdparty vendors to guide externally supplied services and act as a specialist providing expertise and direction to the internal team while assisting with the design configuration and implementation of solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Advisory: Engage in the Technical Architecture Review Board in a consultative capacity.
- Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather detailed functional and nonfunctional requirements for the technology solution. Document these requirements in the Requirements Traceability Matrix.
- Solution Design: Create highlevel and lowlevel solution design documents selecting hardware software and technology components. Outline the proposed solution including architectural diagrams components and interactions.
- Architecture Development: Design overall architecture ensuring alignment with industry best practices and future requirements.
- Integration Planning: Develop strategies for how the solution will integrate with existing systems including integration requirements and interface design specifications.
- Technology Evaluation: Research and evaluate thirdparty technology products and solutions that could be integrated into the architecture or serve as building blocks for the overall solution.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure the solution meets industry security standards and compliance requirements. Develop security and compliance guidelines and assess security requirements based on clientaligned policies and authorization needs.
- Performance and Scalability: Conduct performance and scalability analysis complete NFRs (NonFunctional Requirements) reports to assess the solutions capabilities to meet business demand.
- Cost Estimation: Provide cost estimates for the proposed technology solution including hardware software licensing implementation and ongoing maintenance.
- Documentation: Create detailed technical documentation covering installation configuration troubleshooting and maintenance (e.g. architecture diagrams configuration guides operational manuals) and the implementation roadmap.
- Industry Knowledge: Maintain influential knowledge of industry trends and innovations providing thought leadership on new technologies and trends.

- Experience with EA repositories (Orbus Infinity iServer 365.
- Expertise in Converged Infrastructure (HP Dell Nutanix).
- Knowledge across the infrastructure stack (LAN WAN Security Data Centres).
- Familiarity with Backup & Recovery technologies (e.g. Site Recovery Manager.
- Experience in data centre migrations and networking (CCIE CCNP CCDP or CCNA).
- Cloud computing experience (MS SAP Oracle Azure AWS GCP).
Functional Skills:
- Technical advisory requirements gathering solution design and architecture development.
- Integration planning and thirdparty technology evaluation.
- Security and compliance expertise.
- Performance and scalability analysis.
- Documentation skills (technical and implementation roadmap).
- Understanding of mining processes systems and tools.
- 10 years of practical experience in solution architecture and technical advisory roles.
- BSc (Comp Science) or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in TOGAF v10 ArchiMate ITIL v4 and Cloud computing platforms (AWS Azure SAP GCP).
- Agile SAFe Certified is a plus.
- COBIT v5 Foundation is desirable.
