Senior National Director of Development and Constituent Engagement

Our sole focus is to provide coaches with a pathway to utilize sports to transform the lives of Americas most vulnerable youth and the communities they live in. ABOUT THE ROLE

Up2Us Sports seeks an experienced strategic and aspirational fundraising leader to serve as a critical partner to the Vice President of Development Marketing and Branding. The Senior National Director will support in leading and overseeing the fundraising and engagement efforts for Up2Us Sports positioning the organization for future fundraising success. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced individual with a proven track record to partner with a strategic and ambitious Vice President to build and strengthen the systems strategies and practices to support a bestinclass development and constituent engagement program. The Senior National Director will join Up2Us Sports at a transformative moment with an upcoming rebrand and ongoing planning for a comprehensive campaign that will be the most ambitious in the organizations 15year history.

Reporting to the Vice President of Development Marketing and Branding the Senior National Director of Development and Constituent Engagement will manage direct reports across major gifts leadership gifts and annual giving. Through strategic program development the Senior National Director of Development and Constituent Engagement will implement strategies to broaden the base of philanthropic support increasing the total number of donors engaging regional constituents while securing multiyear commitments for specialty programs and centers and other top priorities that align with the Up2Us Sports strategic plan.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the VP in his role as chief fundraiser and marketer for Up2Us serving as a thought partner and costrategist.
  • Work in partnership with the VP of Development to develop and implement a strategic plan for single and multiyear development efforts.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with highlevel donors and key stakeholders.
  • Provide supervision of staff including setting benchmarks and targets to achieve optimal success.
  • Identifies opportunities for special campaigns to help ensure that Up2Us is able to carry out its strategic plans and vision.
  • Collaborate with peers and leaders across Up2Us to advance strategic priorities creating a culture of philanthropy and recurring giving.
  • Research agency corporate individual and foundation prospects and recommend solicitation strategies.
  • Support in the implementation of strategies for donor retention recognition and stewardship.
  • Responsible for the consistent and effective use of Salesforce.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 to 7 years of relevant professional fundraising experience preferably in a nonprofit setting.
  • Must have the ability to build and enhance a comprehensive development program fully leveraging key constituencies in philanthropic efforts and guiding the strategy to create a lasting impact for Up2Us Sports.
  • A bachelors degree is required; an advanced degree in a related field or CFRE is preferred.
  • Demonstrated success closing six and sevenfigure gifts.
  • Ability to coach mentor and develop young professionals.
  • Strong customer service acumen with a focus on authentic relationship building.
  • Actionoriented.

  • Keen understanding of fundraising best practices.


COMPENSATION

  • Salary Range: $80000 $90000 based on location and experience
