About the Role

At Cleo were redefining how people manage their money and building the worlds most intelligent and engaging AIpowered financial guide.

Key Responsibilities

As our Head of Content Design you will:

  • Shape the future of financial guidance: Lead the integration of Cleos tone of voice into the product and set the vision for content design that engages millions of users with personalised delightful experiences.
  • Inspire and lead a worldclass team: Guide and mentor a talented group of content designers fostering an environment where creativity and collaboration thrive. Youll empower them to deliver exceptional work across Cleos ambitious product roadmap.
  • Build meaningful partnerships: Work closely with Product Engineering Marketing and AI/ML teams to bring innovative ideas to life ensuring a seamless and unified user experience across Cleos ecosystem.
  • Drive strategic impact: Develop scalable processes and systems that enable your team to deliver at speed without compromising quality. Youll ensure content design plays a critical role in Cleos strategy to become the worlds most intelligent finance coach
  • Champion usercentric design: Advocate for content designs role in shaping user experiences that simplify and enrich peoples financial lives balancing creativity with measurable impact.
  • Be a voice for design leadership: Collaborate with Cleos senior leadership including the founder/CEO to represent content design as a strategic pillar in Cleos mission to improve financial wellbeing globally.

What Were Looking For:

This is a senior leadership position which requires someone with significant experience in a similar leadership role in a productfocused tech companies.

  • Deep expertise in content design or UX writing with proven success crafting engaging and usercentred experiences for mobile products
  • Demonstrated handson experience in conversational design and chatfocused user interfaces including comfort working with LLMpowered content at scale.
  • Previous experience and understanding of designing products for a US audience
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and mentoring teams (including managing managers) in fastpaced highgrowth environments.
  • Experience collaborating effectively with crossfunctional partners balancing competing priorities and navigating complex highly regulated industries.
  • Passion for creating inclusive thoughtful and impactful user experiences that reflect the diverse needs of Cleos global audience.
  • A strategic and adaptable mindset with the ability to advocate for content design and shape processes that support highquality userfocused work.

If youre an existing user youll still have access to the app. But some features wont be available (just for a little while). Why 99 of our users are based in the US where financial health is often overlooked. Weve decided to shift our focus to where we can provide the most value and make the greatest impact for users who need it most. Then well be able to apply what we learn to better support our UK users in the future.
