We are seeking a talented and experienced Head of Content to join our dynamic marketing agency. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire content creation process. By delegating tasks monitoring progress proofreading content and managing relationships with content writers the Head of Content will ensure that the produced content is of highquality errorfree and meets each client s specific standards.
Responsibilities
Monitoring the Content Process
- Establish feasible timelines and deadlines for the content deliverables of each client considering their workload to ensure their needs are effectively met.
- Track the progress of each project for each client.
- Provide content writers with necessary feedback and guidance to ensure that each clients needs are met.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure content is errorfree and meets each clients standards.
Delegating Content Tasks
- Coordinate a team of content writers (internally and externally).
- Assign content tasks (websites social media email campaigns PRs and other marketing collateral) to content writers.
- Provide clear instructions and expectations to team members based on the brief received by account managers.
- Ensure that content aligns with each client s goals and specific needs.
Content Creation & Optimization
- Develop and produce compelling highquality content for various platforms including websites social media email campaigns press releases and marketing collateral.
- Implement SEO best practices by optimising content for search engines ensuring technical accuracy structure and engagement.
Proofreading
- Ensure consistency in tone style and messaging across all content for each client.
- Make necessary edits to improve the overall quality of the content for each client.
- Approve content for publication once it meets each clients standards.
Establishing Partnerships with Outsource Content Writers
- Research potential content writers and agencies.
- Evaluate the quality of their work and suitability.
- Negotiate rates and contracts with content writers.
- Maintain relationships with content writers and agencies to ensure ongoing quality work and timely delivery for each client.
Team Leadership Mentoring & Evaluation
- Lead mentor and develop a team of content writers by providing regular feedback and support.
- Conduct performance evaluations to identify strengths and areas for improvement.
- Foster a collaborative and motivated team culture that encourages creativity and innovation.
CrossFunctional Collaboration
- Work closely with Account Management PR Design and Management Teams to ensure cohesive content strategies that align with marketing and business goals.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor s degree in English Marketing Communications Journalism or related field.
Experience:
- 5 years of experience in content creation editing and marketing.
- 2 years of leadership or team management experience in a contentfocused role.
- Proven experience working in a marketing agency or multiclient environment.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Ability to develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Proven experience as a Content Lead Head of Content Senior Content Strategist or similar role.
- Exceptional writing editing and proofreading skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to translate complex topics into clear compelling and engaging content for diverse audiences.
- Strong research skills and ability to synthesise information from multiple sources.
- Expertise in SEO best practices keyword research and content optimization for organic search.
- Experience creating and managing B2B content particularly in technical industries.
