Job Description

Are you a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity in Richmond We are seeking an enthusiastic educator to join our successful Maths department starting September 2025. About the Role:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 4 and 5 following relevant examination specifications.
  • Plan and prepare highquality lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities ensuring all students are challenged and supported in their mathematical understanding.
  • Utilize a range of teaching methods and resources including interactive whiteboards online learning platforms and practical applications of maths to enhance student learning.
  • Assess student progress provide constructive feedback and support individual learning journeys fostering a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and skills.
  • Prepare students for GCSE and ALevel Maths examinations ensuring they have a strong understanding of assessment criteria and mathematical methodologies.
  • Contribute to the development of the Maths curriculum and resources integrating current mathematical research and realworld applications.
  • Foster a love of maths in students encouraging them to develop their analytical critical thinking and problemsolving skills.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment and to contribute to the wider academic and extracurricular life of the school.
  • Organize and lead mathsrelated activities such as maths clubs and competitions promoting mathematical engagement and problemsolving skills.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics including algebra geometry calculus and statistics.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach Maths across Key Stages 3 4 and 5 including ALevel.
  • Experience in preparing students for GCSE and ALevel Maths examinations.
  • Excellent communication interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
  • A passion for maths and a commitment to fostering mathematical inquiry.
  • Ability to organize and lead mathsrelated activities.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
