Your Opportunity
As a Senior Solution Architect you will join a growing team of architecture and solution design resources and drive the technology decisions to enable KPMG to put best of breed products in the market. This will involve your area owning and stewarding new solutions for the firm from feasibility through to deployment and its ongoing operations.
The role includes:
- Leading complex solution architecture projects from conception to implementation consulting with stakeholders to capture requirements and translating them into viable solutions along with project sizing and estimation.
- Spearheading definition of CTGs technical strategies for domains you are responsible for working closely with other CTG colleagues (including other Product Managers Domain Architects Engineering Leads Data Scientists and Enterprise Architects) to ensure alignment between business objectives and technical capabilities.
- Creating solution designs that explain the problem the architecture how the system works key considerations for security and data privacy and how it will be delivered.
- Conduct research into appropriate technologies and patterns to find the best technology solution among all possible to solve the business problem.
- Establishing and providing ongoing maintenance of the CTG Architecture Repository including contributing to strategic architecture roadmaps design patterns and domain architectures.
- Participating in architecture governance boards setting architectural direction and collaborating with R&D teams to prototype innovative solutions.
- Leading and mentoring newer members of the SA Chapter through participation in architecture review board and team showcase sessions providing guidance and feedback to fellow architects on their designs.
- Mentoring engineering teams on best practises ensuring adherence to architectural blueprints and guiding implementation efforts.

To be considered for this opportunity your qualifications skills & experience could include:
- Be able to build relationships quickly with many different stakeholders. You are articulate and intelligent with solid communication skills.
- Proven ability to work autonomously dealing with conflicting priorities and monitoring own workload in a timely and effective manner.
- Thorough understanding of capabilities available from major cloud providers such as Azure & AWS.
- Excellent understanding of cloudbased designs (ideally in Azure) including Networking Compute Storage Security Identity Data and application hosting services. This includes the ability to understand existing cloud infrastructure and suggest incremental changes in alignment with client requirements and continuous improvement.
- Background in Software engineering (with experiences in C#/.NET core and python) with prior use of tooling within the SDLC for code management Infra as code and CI/CD.
- Working knowledge of relational database systems NoSQL Object Oriented Programming and web application development to help guide decisioning of technology and designs.
- Excellent understanding of APIs APIdesign and backend performance considerations.
