Music Teacher Croydon Secondary School Share your passion for music!

Calling all talented and inspiring Music Teachers!

Do you have the energy and enthusiasm to ignite a love of music in young people is a vibrant secondary school in Croydon committed to providing a highquality music education that develops students musical talents creativity and appreciation for the arts.

We are seeking an exceptional Music Teacher to join our dedicated team. In this role you will:

  • Teach Music across Key Stages 3 and 4 delivering engaging and innovative lessons that cater to a range of musical interests and abilities.
  • Create a dynamic and supportive learning environment where students feel confident to explore their musicality and develop their skills.
  • Lead and direct school choirs and instrumental ensembles providing opportunities for students to perform and showcase their talents.
  • Organise and participate in school concerts and musical productions enriching the cultural life of the school community.
  • Assess and monitor student progress in Music providing constructive feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Contribute to the development of the Music curriculum and departmental resources ensuring that our teaching remains current and engaging.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and ensure the highest standards of Music teaching.

We are looking for a Music Teacher who has:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Music or a related field.
  • Experience teaching Music at the secondary level.
  • A strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Music.
  • Excellent communication interpersonal and classroom management skills.
  • A passion for Music and a commitment to inspiring students.
  • A high level of musicianship and the ability to teach a variety of instruments and vocal techniques.
