Job Description
- Lead and monitor the warehousing activities by guiding team leaders and material handler associates in the areas of receiving repackaging line delivery and shipping area.
- Ensure that in all areas customer requirements are clearly understood and met.
- Develop partnership with internal customers.
- Enforce/improve standards of safety and ergonomics quality productivity and housekeeping. All aspects of logistics are to be driven by lean manufacturing principals of predictability organization and efficiency improvement (through the elimination of waste).
- Guide labor by enforcing the handbook policies (i.e. absenteeism standards of conduct discipline etc..
- Guide teams in recordkeeping of process/dispatch audits traceability of receiving windows.
- Lead implementation of proper processes and procedures and respective follow up according to customer standards.
- Communicate / cooperate with all logistics personal to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Communicate with team leaders clerks and material handlers through appraisals training sessions and team daily management.
- Manage all warehouse activities (receipt of material supplier returns material handlers receiving clerks fork truck system issues and inventory) and supervise all warehouse personnel in receiving.
- Provide support to all production lines with respect to internal material handling.
- Verify that stock rotation is functioning properly on a regular basis.
- Returning nonconforming material to supplier as well as returnable dunnage.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices in line with a 5S standard in all areas.
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in Business Management Supply Chain Management Computer Science Information Technology Engineering or similar discipline and a minimum of 3 years experience in Logistics Supply Chain Procurement Planning Operations or similar discipline. Masters level degree preferred but not required in the above fields.
