Job Description

Reporting to the Director Business Solutions DTC the Business Solutions Manager supports NBCU DirecttoConsumer (DTC) Business Partners by ensuring the effective of largescale technology programs as well as process improvement activities in support of strategic business objectives.  He/she will collaborate with leaders and stakeholders across all DTC Business units Enterprise Engineering TechOps and other technology portfolios to ensure proper crossfunctional coordination & across delivery teams from initiation to completion.  This position requires excellent communication and relationship management skills to influence and resolve issues with various stakeholders.  This position is considered to be Hybrid therefore it is expected to be onsite at least three times per week.

Responsibilities

The Business Solutions Manager DTC will provide strategic/tactical leadership and oversight for creating sustaining implementing and driving efficient and effective technical initiatives and processes in support of business objectives. He/she will collaborate with leaders and stakeholders from DTC and The Operations and Technology (O&T) team to ensure proper coordination and of activities related to the delivery of large initiatives technology programs and projects. He/she will be responsible for overseeing multiple areas including supporting technology rollouts from initiation to project closure; managing governance around technology processes; supporting issue escalations; and reporting tools across DTC.

Job Duties

  • Strategize implement and maintain large scale initiatives and activities that adhere to the departments mission short term and longterm goals and broader organizational objectives
  • Support our DirecttoConsumer business and content supply chain efforts for international expansion
  • Manage project plans endtoend and coordinate the work of multiple operational teams ensuring goals are reached as quickly and efficiently as possible
  • Advocate apply enforce and maintain agile bestpractices in planning coordination documentation development and organization risk management implementation testing and validation
  • Support the Business Solutions team with a diverse array of tools and experience to ensure value
  • Ensure that all aspects of program/project cost quality timing and scope meet business requirements
  • Contribute to the development of executive communications and assist in the development of programs and initiatives during the implementation integration verification and certification phases
  • Ensure external teams align with all goals and objectives; ensure complete transparency between internal and external teams
  • Identify impediments and assists the team with removing roadblocks to ensure successful deliverables
  • Analyze evaluate and overcome risks associated to initiatives and produce pertinent KPI reports for various stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain essential metrics KPIs Portfolio Management and accomplishments for all DTC Business Units
  • Additional duties as assigned. 

 


Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Business Management or related field preferred
  • Minimum 8 years of experience with:
    • successfully managing large scale programs / project management
    • digital content supply chains
    • client services; managing relationships and negotiating changes to commitments/requirements with multiple stakeholders
  • Resultsoriented with a history of problemsolving abilities
  • Communication and interpersonal skills including relationship building and collaboration with a crossfunctional team
  • Understanding of Project Management Methodologies including Agile Scrum and Waterfall
  • Working knowledge of JIRA and MS Office (Word PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with excellent presentation and facilitation skills
  • Ability to prioritize effectively think independently and problem solve to ensure all projects are completed in an effective and timely manner
  • Attention to details with ability to manage a high volume of information with excellent accuracy
  • Effectively handle sensitive and confidential matters
  • Appropriate sense of urgency and commitment for critical deliverables
  • Adaptable with history of leading effectively under pressure and through significant change
  • Experience in building positive team culture
  • A true collaborator and team player who can encourage and promote one team across groups to meet common goals and add value
  • Selfstarter who exhibits ownership on assigned tasks and who will push for positive solutions that solve immediate problems while building towards longterm goals
  • Experience in developing executive communications strategic roadmaps and ROIs

Additional Requirements:

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits including medical dental and vision insurance 401(k) paid leave tuition reimbursement and a variety of other discounts and perks.
