Job Description
Job Title: Associate Director Operations
Job Location: Jhagadia Gujarat 393110 India

Goals
- Set goals and targets and utilizes KPIs to monitor and improve performance of the Manufacturing and Engineering departments.
- Interface with Site Director as a supportive member of the Abbott Nutrition manufacturing management team.
- Develop Supplier resilience in collaboration with the SQA team and Supply chain teams
- Work closely with the quality fraternity for improvement projects/tasks
- Ensure good communication and cooperation by encouraging knowledge sharing and the open exchange of ideas within manufacturing and Engineering departments
- Promote and foster good human relations within manufacturing and Engineering departments.
- Liaise with Human Resources in the recruitment and selection of personnel in full compliance with company policies and procedures and local recruitment legislation.
- Ensure continued implementation of goals performance reviews and growth plans as scheduled.
- Provide leadership with respect to best practice initiatives such as Class A CAPA HACCP and ISO systems.
- Actively support preparations for internal finance quality and EHS audits and external audits to achieve successful results.
- Interpersonal skills in order to have healthy relationship with colleagues working in different functions at site.
- Communication skills in order to understand and provide necessary feedback or solutions to Peers and internal customers.
- Strategic thinking in order to go in depth understanding of Manufacturing and Engineering operations and related complex issues and provide the best feasible solutions at all levels
- Decision making skills in order to handle the different problems in operations
- Minimum of Bachelors Degree in Science Engineering or related discipline
- Lean/Six Sigma credentials (e.g. Green Belt/Black Belt) an advantage
- Good grasp of manufacturing finance processes.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Good human relation skills in dealing with employees at all levels
- The ability to organize motivate and develop people.
- A demonstrated commitment to compliance.
- 15 years experience in operations positions in a manufacturing environment.
- 5 years experience at a senior operations management situation.
- Background and experience needed to make sound qualityrelated decisions
